Inclusive & Individual Emergency Preparation: Developing Personal Emergency Action Plans (PEAPS)

2 hrs | 4 hrs | 8 hrs

Participants will earn a certification for completing this course. It will cover the need for Personal Emergency Action Plans, identifying individuals requiring PEAPs, and the development of PEAPs.

Participants will learn strategies for the implementation of PEAPs for their students and staff. A PEAP template and example will also be included as part of the curriculum presented.

This training is ideal for special education teams, Section 504 Plan teams, school administrators, school psychologists, counselors, and social workers, intervention teams, risk assessment teams, and classified/certificated staff.

It will result in higher levels of preparation, the ability to provide comfort to families while their children are in school, increased confidence for all staff, decreased stress about how to handle challenging situations, and increased preparedness for students and staff.
