K-12 Bomb Threats and Suspicious Device Training

2 hrs | 4 hrs  Virtual or In-Person

 

Audience: School Administrators, Board Members, Classified and Certificated Staff, Volunteers

 

This course is specifically designed for K-12 staff to learn the appropriate actions when confronted with a bomb threat or a suspicious device is found on campus. This training will provide guidance on when it is recommended to evacuate campus or shelter in place. Additionally, we will train participants on the various types of bomb threats (written, social media, mailed, phone, text)  and the actions that should be followed.

 

 

This training will include:

  • Developing a bomb threat response plan
  • Types of bomb Threats
  • Analyzing the threat
  • Motives
  • How seriously should you take a bomb threat?
  • Evacuation the school
  • Incident command and your responsibilities (ICS/NIMS)
  • Training your school site
